It is July 22nd today! So many things have happened since we have last talked. I miss our talks Blogger. Just you and me sitting around the fire pit discussing recent events in my life. Well lets do it again....right....NOW!
Out of the gate, I want to welcome to the walking human species my son. It was on vacation really that he started to walk and now it is all he does. He still has plenty of falls and bumbs, but he chooses not to crawl anymore. I saw him crawl yesterday for the first time in a couple weeks. It is very exciting and mind blowing at the same time. To be frank, my favorite times of a child are just around the corner with Bry. This is not to say that I have not enjoyed these past 10-11 months, but I want to let him beat me in wrestling, I want to play catch with him, and I want to chase him around endlessly or until I get tired...whichever comes first. I am thrilled to be started to do some of these things and I cant wait until we can do them on a daily baises! Oh yeah, I want to take him to his first Cubs game! I want to tell them all I know about the game and then let his grandpa's teach him more.
August 8th is coming up fast too! This is Bry's 1st birthday. Invitations have been sent and video's made, but alot more is yet to be done! Amanda and I are looking forward to seeing everyone who comes and hopes that Bryson will show off a little and not be to shy guy.
Bry's best bud Mali had his 1st birthday about a week ago. It was so much fun and I was reminded again how much I appreciate our friends Josh and Erin. We were happy to have helped so much.
A few days later, we (the Hortons and us) went to Lake Geneva. It was the first time on a beach for Bryson and well, we might need to warm him to the idea of sand on the feet. It was very funny watching him standing on one foot in order to try and somehow avoid the sand. We called him our little flamingo and we hope to get a sandbox so that next time he can play in the sand as much as I did!
I am sure I am forgetting other important news, but I can not remember it right now. So, the last update I have is that Bryson had the second of two procedures done yesterday. In case you do not know, Bry had a blockage in his ureter. They cleared that up and then put a stint in to make sure it heals properly. That was the long procedure. Yesterday they finally removed that stint and it took a total of about 25-30 min. The doctor doing the removal said it really only took 5 min after they put him under anestesia. After he woke up he was not a happy baby, but after some formula and a good hour nap on the way home, he was really back to normal. And today, if you did not know it, he would seem like a normal kid. We go back a month from now to see how he is doing. If all is well, we can put this all behind us! Amanda and I are looking forward to that day with great anticipation.
Lastly, I would just like to put on the world wide web just how lucky we feel to have 4 amazing grandparents who will drop everything to watch our little man. They love him so much and it is trully a blessing to be able to raise a child with grandparents like these!! Thank you!
Alright folks, you know what to do....Bosco's Blogfeed.
KEEP IT HERE!
Love Will Amanda and Bryson
