Someone Owes Someone An Apology...

And that someone is...

ME!!

So, sorry to the people who look to this daily for a smile or an update on things here at the Bosco kick it pad. Also, sorry to blogger.com for not fulfilling my end of the deal.

Its been over a week! Plus Memorial Day weekend passed! We, Bryson and I, had a great three days with Amanda! It was so nice to be able to have another set of hands to help. And she is so good around the house it amazes me. She amazes me! It made me really excited for her being off for the summer! Which is only 7 or 8 school days away! Her last day is June 9th which is the same for me and my school. My last class night is June 9th and Iwill be off for the summer too! I cant wait. Soon after that is vacation with the Uncles and R Grandparents! Its gonna be sweet!

A few things for now...(kind of random...sorry)

1. LETS GO CUBS! C'mon! If Carlos would swing a bat like he did on the Gatorade machine, he would probably hit more HR's! They do need to start something real soon though.

2. Amanda and I are planning on running the Chicago half-marathon, if registration is not closed. Anyone else interested? I can run a good 4 miles on a pretty consistent basis so I am doing well in preparing for it!

3. I don't usually care about "the lives of the rich and famous," but I kind of feel taken advantage of by the Gosselin (spelling?) family of Jon and Kate Plus 8. It was a show that Amanda watched and soon I watched with her to see how these two people with so much love for each other tried to manage 8 little kids running around. It was very interesting to see how they handled situations and then kept their own marriage intact. Well, if you have been listening to any hollywood news, it is all about their marriage falling apart. Jon cheated, Kate cheated, Kate is over the top, Jon is...WHATEVER. Jon you knew Kate before you got married, why did you marry her if you did not like her personality. I cannot give Kate any advice because if Jon did cheat, in my opinion she has every right to get a divorce. If its the show that tearing them apart, WHY DID YOU SIGN ON FOR 40 MORE SHOWS!?!? I feel taken advantage of because I do feel like I was part of the family for a half hour every week. I enjoyed watching it and laughing with them through tough times. Unfortunately, I will probably keep watching because I want to see how this affects the family and the show. I feel bad for the kids. They are so innocent and they are probably being lied to by multiple people. Its all so terrible. People not even trying to work through issues.

4. We are trying to start getting things together for Bry's 1st birthday....wait, did I just say 1st birthday?
ok, hold on a sec, I need to go breath into a bag...
OK, I'm good. Yes Bryson will be 1 year old very soon and we will be trying to get things set before we leave for vacation. Be expecting a very cute invitation! Our friend Erin is AMAZING at making cards and I think she is going to help us!

5. That is all I got for now. Quick recap, sorry to you and blogger. Go Cubs! 13.2 miles. Divorce. 1 year old!

Good blog guys! You really came out strong for this one now lets all bring it in and on 3 yell Bosco's Blogfeed

Bry Updates!

(whipping the beads of sweat rolling down his forehead)
PHEW!!!

We have successfully survived 9 full months of the Bry life.
See I have divided my life into seperate lives. Little life was birth till about teen years and then I entered High Life. By this I mean high school life. Then I entered Wife Life after college. This life is still in process, but I have also added Bry Life to my Wife Life. So when asked how my life is, I say I am currently in Wife and Bry Life.

Today, Bry is doing great and becoming the person he will be more and more. We have kind of developed a pattern to his day and I think it is helping him to sleep and eat a whole lot better.

Hold on, he just woke up...

Ok, I'm back, thanks for holding. What was I talking about....oh yeah! Well he has had two little front bottom teeth for a while and just recently I found a third front bottom one coming through! And then I was holding a toy above him and noticed a front top tooth coming through! Pretty soon he will look kind of goofy with 3 bottom teeth and 1 top, but thats ok.

Also, he is standing for short periods of time without assistance. Sometimes he can go for a long time and then start to lose his balance and end up on his bum. He is so very close to standing and walking. There are also times when he attempts to stand all by himself! When we go outside he does the crab walk thing that looks pretty funny, but so very developmentally goood! I'll will try to get a pic and post it for ya!

We are excited about how much he is developing, but also cant believe that he used to be just a little peanut. He will always be our little peanut, but he used to really be little. We are excited about the person he will become and the things we want to do with him when he gets older. i am trying my best not to force growing up on him, but it is tough. We went outside yesterday and I broke out the wiffle ball and bat set and I imagined the day Bry and I would go out and play ball. So much fun ahead, but lets enjoy this right now!

Anyway, Aunt Meg is coming in this weekend and we are excited to see her and let her babysit Bry as much as she wants!! Maybe saturday night Meg?

In case I dont get to post before happy Memorial Day everyone. Lets remember, honor, and respect those who have given their lives so that we could live ours freely. Whether or not you agree with the current war can we just come together as a nation and say thank you to them? I know personally, I am not sure I could leave everything and put myself in harms way like they do every hour of every day. They are what makes America great.

You know what to do! Bosco's Blogfeed.

Recent Events!

HEY HEY!!

Cubs have been doing well of late. Especially with a few key members battling injuries. I am optimisitc about this year and goal one is to win the division. We cant worry about playoffs if we are not in the playoffs. So lets get there and then get through that!

Anyway, I have a few thoughts I wanted to write about. First, sorry about the last post. It was a little goofy. Last night we had an incident here at home involving the family dog and Bryson. It is difficult to describe in words how it all went down, but basically, the dog was eating and Bryson was nearbye. Bryson dropped his pacifier out of his mouth and it happened to fall near a pebble of dog food. Well, Bry, of course, went for his pacifier and the dog thought he was going for her food and she took a little nip at Bryson. I am not sure if it was a mean nip or what because I could not see, but I do not think it matters. I can also see from the dog's perspective because we are trying to lower the amount of food she gets so she can be fiesty, but again it does not matter. This is not acceptable. The dog is the dog and especially with a baby, they HAVE to know their place in the family.
However, I have NO experience with dogs. I do not know the best way to handle them or when or where or how to punish them. This is where I have to say thank you to Grandpa and Grandma R. Immediatly they let the dog know that what she did was unaccepltable. You have to take care of it immediatly because then the dig understands why it is being punishment. Some people might say it was overpunishment, but it HAD to be done. The baby has a very high place of value and the dog needs to understand this. It was a traumatic event for Amanda and I. Bryson seemed to handle it very well and I am sure he will love playing with the dog all the same. I wish I could go back and do something immediatly, but I did not know what to do. This has been another reason I am glad we are living with them. I can not tell them enough my appreciation for what they did and do daily for us. It can get difficult, but we do not love them any less.

On a bright note, one of my good friends just had his one year wedding anniversry. It is such a special time and I want to share my congrats to them. He is a great man and a great friend. He also just got is masters in architecture. They are an amazing couple and we love them! Congrats guys and many more to come!! Next dinner is on us!!

This celebration reminds me of another anniversary coming up. Amanda and I will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary tomorrow the 19th of May. TWO YEARS!?!? What, I mean where has two years gone. SO much has happened that if I start to recap it would take a long time. All I know is that I love my wife so much and I am so glad that I have known her for a lot of my life and will know her for a lot more. We do not have much planned, but it will not go unnoticed! Love you babe!

Well, thanks for reading and dont touch that mouse because before you know it, Bosco's Blogfeed will give you more!

Everybody!
(Yeah)
Rock your body!
(Yeah)
Everybody! Rock your body right.
Backstreet's Back. Alright!

Who doesn't want to open their post with Backstreet Boys lyrics. When someone asks me, what is your generate like? I answer with that song. I bust it out like I am alone in the shower. We all know it, don't deny it. That along with...

Its Friday night and I juuuuust
GOT PAID!
money, money, money

Nsync! Yes. What happened to my 90's boy bands anyway?!?!

Wow what a start to this blog. You know those really good starts to papers and articles that just grab you and literally force you to keep reading it based on the introduction or first sentence? Well, I think I have successfully accomplished that with the opening if this blog. Most likely you are still reading this. Originally you thought, "OK, what the heck is this guy talking about." By now you might have realized that I am just a rambling idiot with no real direction in mind for this blog, but maybe you have not. For those who have kept reading, there will be a reward for you as long as you stick with me. I'll show you the pot of gold at the other end of the rainbow. I'll show you light at the end of this tunnel. I'll show you the money.

By the time I get done with you, you will be faster, stronger, bigger, and better. At the end of this session, you will free your mind to all the possibilities you are capable of. Believe me folks, you do not want to stop reading now. Keep up the good work. You are doing great still reading this pointless blog. C'mon, dont fail me now. Imagine with me, if you will, you are standing in a cornfield. Not just any cornfield, but a giant maze built into a cornfield. Every turn you make is a dead end. Every time you try to cheat, you just get deeper into the maze and more lost. Imagine looking straight into the sky screaming out your frustration.

Now imagine yourself on the white sandy beaches of Hawaii. Just you, maybe a loved one, and the chrystal clear waters splashing right up to your toes. You look around and see the palm trees blowing in the breeze. The sun is perfectly positioned in the sky beaming down a perfect 72.4 degress. The air has a slight mist from the mountains behind you. Sounds pretty good right?

Well thanks for going on that journey with me. It got kind of bumpy for a second there, but we made. YOU made it! Congratualtions you have finished reading my pointless post!

Good So Far!

Dear Diary,
Today was a h....wait sorry, wrong journal...

Hey everyone and anyone!

So far, Mom's day weekend has been great! We met up with the Hortons for a very filling and very expensive meal at Maggiano's and then headed back to our place for the weekend. As we were trying to check in, I realized I made reservations for the wrong hotel. Well, right hotel, wrong city! Fortunetly, we were able to transfer the reservation and everything has worked out!

After we finally got in, it was pool time for the boys! As I was trying to change Bry into his swim attire, Amanda, after getting a diaper, found some cards addressed to her. This hightened her curiosity and she HAD to dig more. Soon enough she had found the gifts for her. My plan to give a little at a time had failed, but all is well.

Mom's did not bring swimming suits, but they watched from the side. The Dad's had fun watching Bry and Mali splash around and explore what this swimming thing is all about. Soon enough it was time for the Horton's to go home and us to fall asleep. After a while of crying and trying to figure out how to get Bry to sleep, we gave him a bottle and around 10pm we did not hear anything.

He slept until about 730 this morning, but we could tell he did not sleep well. We went down and had an ok continental breakfast comprised of a bowl of Cap'n Crunch, OJ, and toast. Bry started to get fussy, so around 10am he fell asleep again and woke up around noon. We were able to take a little morning nap too as we did not sleep well either. After this we got ourselves ready and headed out. We drove towards Woodfield mall to see what kind of shopping we wanted to do. After literally driving all the way around woodfield and finding very little parking options, we decided to take out our shopping urge on Target. Then we couldn't leave without stopping at Josh's favorite place of employment, Dick's! We found Bry a lifevest for the summer trip to Branson and got oursleves some new water bottles for working out.

In the plans for to night are more swimming and maybe a little jog around somewhere. That brings you up to speed. Amanda is sleeping and I am watching Bry cruise all over our little hotel room.

Hope all other Mom's day stuff is going well!
We will post some pics later, dont forget to keep it here on Bosco's Blogfeed.

Mom's Day

Whats up everybody??!?

In case you have forgotten or ignored all the bombardments of advertisements and reminders here is another one....SUNDAY IS MOTHERS DAY! DO SOMETHING! You have the rest of today, friday, saturday, and for my fellow procrastinators, sunday morning to do or get something. Some hints:
  1. Moms love hand made cards. It means you took the time to design and create the entire card front to back, side to side. Plus its cheaper and could take a lot less time going to try and buy something.
  2. Most Moms love flowers. There are cases of Moms not liking flowers, but generally Moms love them and if you happen to know their favorites, thats bonus points. Ask your Dad for tips on the type of flower.
  3. Phone call. If you dont have 50 cents to call home. Ask me and I'll give you 50 cents to call home. Again, the time thing for you to reach out to them.
  4. Home visit.
  5. Make her dinner.
  6. Take her to dinner and tell Dad to pay for himself.
  7. Jewelry.
  8. Clean the house.
  9. Clean your room.

There are some ideas. Some fo them require more work as well as more finacial income, but some require little work and little income. I think the common theme through all of them is time. Take time from you "busy" day to do something for them.

I am hoping to make this Mom's day for Amanda special. It will be her first of many and hopefully it will be her favorite. We are getting away for the weekend. Just the three of us for a few days without the business of life. It will just be us, our place of residence for the weekend, and the pool that comes with it! On friday we will be meeting up with Josh, Erin, and Mali for a little dinner and hang out. That will be a great start to the weekend with them. It always is. Then we, I say we because I am teaming up with Bry to put this on for Amanda, have some other suprises waiting for our favorite Mom.

Lastly, I know this could be called a "Hallmark Holiday," but I really find it hugely important for us to set apart a day or two to honor, respect, and for some remember our favorite Mom's. They do so much every day for us, and being a stay at home Dad for Bry I can really appreciate all the other full time Mom's in the world. It truely is a job that many people take for granted and many people could not do.

May all the Mom's out there feel the love and honor they deserve this weekend. We love you all!

Until next time, keep it here on Bosco's Blogfeed.

Where were you yesterday May 3rd?

So where were YOU yesterday?
Me, I was with my wife and our best friends. We all went to the Cubs game together!

Good looking bunch, especially all in Cubbie Blue and Red!

We got there early enough, thanks to some GREAT driving, to get 25% off all food and beverage. I had no idea about this so we got our fill of jumbo hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, Pepsi, diet Pepsi, and of course cotton candy!

We had a great time watching the game with them and everything else that comes with it. Including the guy sitting next to Erin doing the play-by-play and paying for Milton Bradley's salary in beers. This also includes the Florida fans sitting behind wanting all the opposite ball and strike calls we did and putting on way too much cologne before coming to the game.

Unfortunately, this also includes getting an autograph from a guy that I ended up losing a lot of respect for. Before the game the Cub organization was honoring Greg Maddux and Fergie Jenkins by retiring the number 31 that they both wore. We ended up having some friends that had the suite right next to Greg Maddux's suite. Cool right? So we ran down, got some blank balls, and get them to our friends for Greg to sign. Well, Greg, and the rest of his family, were too busy on their Blackberry's and cell phones to watch the game much less take 2 seconds to sign a baseball for adoring fans. "One per person," Greg's security guard said and that was it. Greg did his publicity radio and TV interview and then stood, not sing, along Fergie Jenkins as he took us out to the ball game in the 7th inning. After that we watched him walk right out and then watched his family follow, probably to a limo and then probably O'hare. It is frustrating to look up to this athlete and respect him as person and a player. To get so excited for his autograph I was literally shaking, and then to hear how he treats the people like me, who paid his salary for his entire career. While I do respect his play on the field, I can no longer say I respect him as a person. Especially to look over to Fergie and see him standing, looking at the people all around him wanting autographs and signing them until there were no more. Huge disappointment.

Luckily thought the 5th inning came around. After going crazy watching Zambrano lay down a perfect bunt for a hit, we had to nervously watch him limp off the field. A few hits later we find ourselves with bases loaded, 2 outs, and Derek Lee at the plate. For some reason Sweet Lou decided to bat him 4th instead of 3rd. Apparently, Uncle Lou knew exactly what he was doing...

GRAND SLAM!

One of the greatest moments I have seen in Cub history. Josh and I were just talking that we had never seen on in person and Josh had never seen a Cub grand slam in person or on TV! Everyone was going nuts with Fisher Nuts, except of course the Florida fans behind us! That put the Cubs up 6-2 and would also prove to be the game winning home run! Thanks D-Lee!

A few innings later, we were all singing Go Cubs Go!

Very good times with very good people and something I will never forget. May 3rd was defiantly a good day for us full of excitement and some disappointment, but more of the former.

Coming up next time, Mother's Day plans!

Under Construction (and other things)

Good Morning

First of all, I am currently getting way to into editing my blog. I have spent way to much time rearranging, adding, and fixing things. I could probably run a seminar soon on how to do it all. I guess you could say I am pretty particular. So bear with me as I continually change and update things here on the Bosco's Blogfeed. I hope you like it.

Coming up, is this Saturday. Our best friends, Josh and Erin http://hortonshomepage.blogspot.com/ , are having a fund raising even called the Buddy Walk to raise awareness and money for the support and research for down syndrome. It is sponsored by the NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society) and I am so happy that Amanda can support our friends in this.

Also on Saturday, Will will be attending a going away party for a friend being re-deployed to Iraq. I already had great respect for this man as a husband and father, and to watch him accept a call like this, leave friends and family behind, and fight for everything we take for granted makes him a hero in my and many other's eyes. Please keep him and his family in your prayers for the next year as he prepares, goes, and comes home next april.

THEN, after that is Sunday. CUBS GAME! That's right we are ditching...I mean leaving our precious wonderful son in the hands of our amazing grandparents in order to go to the game on Sunday against the Marlins. Yesterday's game was not that great so hopefully the Cubs can bounce back and put a few wins together. We are going with the same friends mentioned above!

BUT FIRST, tonight it has been confirmed. We can now officially say that Will and Amanda has a date night tonight. All the pieces have been put into place and Grandpa B and Grandma B have agreed, after hours of begging, to take Bry for a few hours to let us go. Thanks!

Thats all and Happy Birthday if its your birthday, dont say I never said it.

Keep it here on Bosco's Blogfeed.
