Caged Animal

It finally came in the mail. We ordered it from Amazon.com and compared to the lowest price we found, we basically got free shipping to our house. It is a fenced in cage in order to hold in and restrict any and all activity for any man or beast. So far it has done its job.

Do you see how the caged beast is actually quite comfortable in this fenced in cage? He is at home here. So far it has worked ok for Bryson. He likes to be free especially with his crawling now, but hopefully he will get used to it. I got a lot of homework done today because he played well in it. Most of the time he is standing like you see here looking for someone "on the outside." We got an extension for it so hopefully we can put that on and it wont seem so restrictive for him. It also takes up most of the room. We will see how if it continues to be a place where Bryson can play and enjoy himself, while I can walk away and do something else and not have to worry about him getting into something.

Thats all for now,

Another Step

Yet another step to Bryson getting older has officially come. He is now sleeping in his own room. A room that has awaited his arrival for a long, long time. Since well before his birth in fact! After a few nights of waking up at 1 or 2 in the morning and then sleeping with us and then a night of nothing but sleeping with us, as parents we decided it was time. No matter how long he cried, he is staying in his room.

After 30-40 minutes of crying, we heard it. The sound we had dreamed of. The sound of complete relaxation and contentment. Silence. After a while we pulled our best Jack Bauer and infultrated the room in order to check on him and there he was. On his stomach with the little face to one side. Cute as could be.

Tonight will be the third night he has stayed in his room and second night that he has gone down without a peep! What we have done is put him to bed with a bottle. He usually finishes the bottle and falls asleep. I put a pacifier next to him and the last two nights he has moaned a couple times, but then silence.

Ok so I joke around a lot and it has been wonderful for me to be able to put him down, get stuff done, and still get to bed at a decent time. However, it is kind of difficult because he is growing up fast and this is just another sign of it. Amanda does not like him being so far away, but I think she will come around eventually.

Talk to you later,

Opening Post

Here we go....

Hello all! We are the Boscaljon's! Not to be confused with any others, we are Will, Amanda, and Bryson. I am Will and I will be doing the majority of the posting, I think. I started this blog so that I could keep friends and family up to date on our happenings! Also, it is just the next new thing that everyone is doing right? Anyway, this is a quick post to get you up to date...

Will: Attending Grad school at National-Louis University for School Counseling. I want to be an effective counselor, not one that gives you a list of classes, tells you to pick one, and then says "See ya next year." I am a stay at home Dad for our little man and it is the best job I will ever have. My life is really good right now.

Amanda: In the middle of her 2 year of teaching. She really enjoys working with the kids and her team. She is a fantastic Mom and I love watching her interact with Bryson. She amazes me everyday. Also, she is very much looking forward to this summer so that she can spend more time with Bryson.

Bryson: Is awesome. Best thing to happen to us. Proof that we live according to Gods plan, not ours. We just got his left kidney fixed and the specialist is really happy with how it is working post surgery. In a couple months, we do one more minor procedure and we have a son with two fully functioning kidneys! He is growing like crazy and showing his personality more and more.

We are currently living with Amanda's parents in a mini-apartment downstairs. There have been many blessings that has come from it! We really try to enjoy every minute we can spend together as a family.

Well, thats a quick update and keep it here for future Bosco news only on the bosco's blogfeed.
